Workshops
Sometimes, people want to become an ally, but don’t know where to start. You might be worried about using the wrong terminology or saying something that unintentionally offends.
Our workshops are facilitated by trained, accepting volunteers equipped with all the skills, empathy, and experience needed to turn your boardroom, community meeting space, or classroom into a site of genuine, non-judgmental exploration and progress. Covering subjects such as bullying, coming out, allyship, challenges in the workplace, and more, our workshops offer something for everyone to learn.
Please note: Our workshops are extremely popular before and during Pride Month in June. If you’re looking to book us in that timeframe, please provide as much lead time as possible to secure your dates.
Keep in mind that learning can happen throughout the year, not just during Pride. When booking a workshop, you can extend your support for the community by considering some other dates of significance:
Transgender Day of Visibility, March 31
International Day of Pink (anti-bullying and anti-homophobia), second week of April
International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT), May 17
Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDoR), November 20
Corporate workshops
Discover how you and your colleagues can better support the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and their families by hosting/booking one of our corporate workshops. In a supportive learning environment, your team will catch up on terminology and important concepts that can make your workplace a more affirming, more welcoming place to be.
Topics include:
How to Be an Ally: Basic 2SLGBTQIA+ language and concepts, and how to make your workplace more welcoming
Allyship: Beyond the Basics: What individuals and organizations can do to affirm and support our 2SLGBTQIA+ loved ones and their families through active allyship
Parenting with Pride: For parents, caregivers, educators, and daycare providers; includes basic 2SLGBTQIA+ language and concepts, the importance of inclusive parenting, how to prepare for and/or handle the coming-out conversation, and how to advocate for your child
Our presenters speak from lived experience, sharing their personal stories along with the workshop’s main topic. Sessions last one hour and can be conducted virtually or in person.

Hear it from our allies
“Anne was an incredible panelist as she brought a wealth of knowledge, shared experiences, and a deep knowledge of policies, happenings, and issues affecting the LGBTQIA+ community in Canada. ... We were thrilled working with her and the Toronto Pflag chapter and would absolutely work with the chapter again in the future.”
