We are off to a roaring start in 2021!
Our new noon support meeting took place for the first time in January. It was well-attended and our facilitators were delighted. It will be held every third Wednesday at noon via Zoom. Email support@torontopflag.org to register.
School “visits” are also booming. 2021 is on track to be our busiest year ever. Special thanks to our six speakers who make this possible and to the TDSB for helping us publicize our program. Interesting that the trend toward elementary schools is continuing. Since September we have not been to a high school.
We have a wonderful new board member, Gary Ludwig. Gary is a great volunteer and has been part of the team that sustains our Dads Night program. He has a trans daughter. Thanks for stepping up Gary.
And finally, two grade 10 students at UTS, Charlotte and Yvonne, chose us to profile in their school’s Youth Philanthropy Initiative. They were the winners and we received $1,000 thanks to their efforts. A huge thank you to both Charlotte and Yvonne.
